Gov Ortom & His Wife Adopt Baby ,Names Her ''Destiny Wueseter Ortom''.

Governor Samuel Ortom and his wife Eunice have adopted a baby girl, who was picked and taken to the Mama Abaiyol Orphanage Makurdi.
Governor Ortom thanked God for the blessing of the baby and gave assurance that he and his wife would take good care of the baby and train her to the highest level.
He assured the other children at the orphanage that his administration would also provide for their upbringing.
Governor Ortom pledged government's commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts such as orphanages and directed that the state's Head of Service should ensure that all casual staff of the charity home were absolved into the civil service. The Governor also directed the immediate renovation of the Mama Abayol Orphanage.
Also speaking, the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Eunice Ortom thanked God for the life of the baby and promised to treat her as her biological child. She thanked the management of the orphanage for the good work they were doing.
The Acting Director, Child Development, Mr. Anderson Onazi and the Officer in charge of the Orphanage, Winifred Gagher, while handing over the baby whom they called 'Eunice' expressed appreciation to the Governor and his wife for their passion for humanitarian work.
The Children at the Orphanage prayed for Governor Ortom and his wife as they bade farewell to the baby.
On arrival at the People's House, Governor Ortom and his wife prayed for the baby and named her Destiny Wueseter Ortom.
