Ex-Militant Leaders Deny Blowing Up Pipelines.

 



Leaders of ex-Niger-Delta militant groups have denied being responsible for the blowing up of oil and gas pipelines in the Delta state, Nation reports.

The ex-militants under the aegis of the Leadership Peace and Cultural Development Initiative (LPCDI), said contrary to public perception, none of them including embattled leader, including Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, was responsible for the recent attacks on pipelines especially in Delta state.

They said unknown criminal elements, who want to cause disaffection between the region and the Federal Government, were behind the recent bombings according to a statement released by the group.

The former warlords said they will be willingly to cooperate with the federal government to apprehend the culprits.

Defence minister Mansur Dan-Ali and led a team of Defence chiefs to the site of the pipeline sabotage in Warri South, Delta state and vowed to deal with the culprits.
