President Buhari Meets Governor Almakura Over Border Clashes With Benue State

President Buhari and Gov. Almakura of Nasarawa State

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa Sate has formally briefed President Muhammadu Buhari on the recurring crises along the Benue Nararawa States border affecting farmers and herdsmen in that area.

The Governor after the meeting held behind closed doors said the President has given his nod over the steps taken so far by Benue and Nararawa state governments towards addressing the situation.
Governor Almakura said discussions with the President also touched on other issues relating to Nasarawa state including the dwindling resources and ways of improving the situation.
