APC Wants Fayose Placed Under Security Watch Over Threat Against Buhari

All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has craved the indulgence of the federal government for the placement of Governor Ayodele Fayose under serious security watch over an alleged comment to bring down President Muhammadu Buhari’s government because of the activities of the Department of State Services in Ekiti State in
recent times.

The party accused Fayose of conducting himself in a manner that threatens national security, saying the governor’s recent utterances and actions suggest acts of sabotage targeted at rendering national institutions ineffective to perform their statutory roles for effective government in a federal set-up.

Its Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, said in a statement on Monday that in the alternative, the federal government should begin a process of trying the governor for treason to prevent anarchy in
the system.
