Moments At The ''Movement Against Fulani Occupation'' Rally In Makurdi + Why The Police Stopped The Protest Rally.

Benue youths today joined the  ''Movement Against Fulani Occupation'', #MAFO Social Media group to hold a peaceful rally to expressed their displeasure over the incessant killings by Fulani herdsmen in Benue communities.The rally was well attended with different groups participating.Even though it was later revealed that the police stopped the peaceful protest,most of the youths were not discouraged,they remained at the venue and till  press conference was given by the organisers led by Rev Fr Solomon Mfa.See more 

According to the Police,the letter seeking permission to hold a rally did not get to them on time,the PPPRO disclosed that protest and rally letters are suppose to get to the police 3 days before the protest date.Another reason for stopping the rally was because of security challenges,flash points like Wurukum,moderm market areas are one of the places facing security challenges,the PPPRO said the police is always ready to cooperate with the public to peace to homes and communities,he suggested that the rally should take place next week when the police will be fully prepared.
