Coach gets 7 match ban by disciplinary committee for calling a Nigerian player Black Idiot.

Olimpija coach Marko Nikolic has been slammed with a seven-match ban by the disciplinary committee of the Football Association of Slovenia after his comment of ‘black idiot’ against Nigerian striker Blessing Eleke was viewed as racist.
This ban means that the coach will not be on the Olimpija bench until the end of the season, which has seven rounds of matches to go.

Nikolic made his comments in Sunday's game between Olimpija and ZAVRČ when Nigerian went on a wild celebration after his stoppage time equaliser.

"The disciplinary procedure has relied on the TV clip which clearly established that Nikolic commented after Eleke late equaliser with inappropriate language when he loudly exclaimed: “See idiot Crnog "(in Slovenian): 'Look at the idiot black"), "announced the Football Association of Slovenia.

Nikolic’s ban does allow him access to the changing rooms and formal technical area. He will also pay a fine of 1,500 Euros.

The minimum sanction for this offence is a five-match ban. The coach has three days to appeal this ban.
