Born in Benue State to a Musically inclined family, her father, Rev Andrew Anyam being a reverend pastor and a church Choir master, Mimi would tag along as early as six.
A published writer, a song writer and a worshipper, her songs are an expression of God 's Greatness and how He ''exchanges our ashes for His beauty''... when we yield our broken and contrite hearts.
She says we all have a sound of Joy to release, no matter what we feel, this is hers.

Mimi  has Bsc in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science from University of Agric Makurdi and Masters in Managerial Psychology from University of Lagos.She lives with her husband, Olsen Ikurior in Lagos, Nigeria.

She has done a lot of songs and collaboration.
This song, "Gar u sha la " meaning "That City Above" is in Tiv language. It's another single in the Album" Yea and Amen ", an Old church song with a message ...which she revamped with additional lyrics , it brings home the main purpose of surrendering our lives to God ... She delivers her rich and simple vocals on this exciting mid tempo track.
