Sports minister inaugurates Committee to Reform and Restructure Sports .

A Ministerial Committee to reform and restructure sports was inaugurated today at the Media Centre of the National Stadium, ABUJA.

The committee has Mr Godwin Kienka as the Chairman .

The ministerial committee is to “restructure and reposition Nigeria’s sports from a service-oriented model to a private sector developmental-oriented one”

.

The Committee which has volunteered to work without a kobo from the Ministry of Youth and Sports is to also design a new architecture for sports development, identity major obstacles impeding sports growth and fashion out a sustainable framework for talent discovery and development.
It has 90 days to to submit its report on the reforms.
