You will be shocked at what happened to a woman for supporting a different candidate in an election held in her community.


A woman's eyes was nearly ripped off and she almost lost her life after she was beaten by unknown men who accused her of supporting a councillor they dislike.
According to DailySun ZA, Thandeka Nzimande (22), from K section in Umlazi, south of Durban, South Africa, told Daily Sun that four men almost killed her on Tuesday as she was making her way to an ANC meeting.

She said: “I was walking on the road with two friends when the men came towards us.
“They called out my name and told me how much they hated me because I always sided with Councillor Thandiwe Zuma, despite her actions.

“That is when my friends and I ran away in different directions,” said Thandeka.

She said the men caught up with her and started to assault her with sticks and stones.

“One of them punched me in the face.

“I screamed for help and people came to my rescue.

“The men ran away, but threatened to do it again,” said Thandeka.

She said she went to hospital, where her forehead was stitched.
She said the matter is being handled by the cops. KZN police spokesman Major Thulani Zwane said a case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm had been opened at Bhekithemba cop shop in Umlazi.

Two suspects, aged between 28 and 31, have been arrested and appeared in the Umlazi Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Zwane said the case was reminded for 1 June for further investigation.
