EFCC detains Benue Speaker ,Majority Leader over N700m car contract scam.

Benue State House of Assembly Speaker , Rt Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange along with the Majority Leader, Hon. Adanyi were today detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).



According to IPN news the detention is in connection with the N700 Million car contract scam said to have been perpetrated by the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Hon. James Ejembi Okefe for which he himself had been detained since the beginning of the week.

According to sources in the EFCC, the Speaker and the Majority Leader came to the EFCC HQ Abuja, with the desire to bail out Hon. Okefe, only for them to be accosted with the mounting evidence of their involvement in the scam itself and detained.
