Benue Gov's wife,Mrs Eunice #Ortom flags off the Demonstration Farm Programme in Taraku and Aondona Communities.

The Wife of the Governor and Founder, ESLF, Dr. Mrs. Eunice Ortom is in partnership with Oxfam Nigeria and Bank of Agriculture (BOA) for material and technical support to establish Agriculture Demonstration Farms in all the 23 Local Government Areas of the State to engage Youths, Women, particularly widows for meaningful economic activity; today Friday, July 1st 2016.

Benue State is basically an agrarian society with over 70% of its citizens living in the rural areas and surviving on subsistence farming. Food Security is therefore a precursor to a successful industrialization as envisaged by the Governor and the involvement of women and youth as desired under this intervention.

The Following potential activities are also to follow up in
the success of the Demonstration Farms:
a. Annual Food Fair
b. Annual Agricultural Show Festival
c. Annual Entrepreneurship Summit and 

d. Micro credit for Agro-based Cooperatives.
