Fed Govt bans procurement and distribution of Conference gifts andSouvenirs at events funded by Ministries ,Departments and Agencies.

The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has banned the Procurement and Distribution of the fraudulent spend of public funds for the Procurement and Distribution of Conference Bags, T-Shirts, and other Souvenirs at Events such Conferences and Seminars funded by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

Announcing the ban, the Director of Information, Federal Ministry of Finance, Mr Salisu Danbatta said President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the recommendation by the efficiency unit.

According to the statement, the ban was in continuation of the ongoing cost and efficiency drive in the utilisation of public funds by the present administration.
