Gov Ortom felicitates with Muslims and Benue people at Sallah, assures on Security during the celebration.

As the Muslim faithful celebrate the Eid-el Fitri across the country, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has urged them to maximise the spiritual benefits derived from Ramadan which are love, peace and justice for the development of the state.

The Governor says the Eid-el Fitri celebration has come at a time when the nation is facing economic downturn which calls for sober reflection, spiritual rejuvenation and unity of purpose in tackling the numerous challenges.

He enjoins the people of the state to embrace dialogue in addressing matters affecting them and resist the temptation to take the law into their hands while assisting security agencies to guarantee the safety of lives and property in all parts of the state.

Governor Ortom is confident that the isolated cases of crime will soon become things of the past as the present administration will not surrender the state to hoodlums.

He reaffirms the commitment of his administration to ensuring that development gets to every segment of Benue State, particularly in the provision of projects and other services.

The Governor wishes all Muslims in the state a joyful Eid-el Fitri and urges them to go about their normal celebration without the fear of molestation.
