Relief materials sent to Taraba state IDP camps not missing......But see why Gov Isaku refuses to release them.

Taraba State governor, Mr. Darious Ishaku has disclosed that the state government will not release the relief materials sent to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the state until the minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Sen. Aisha Jumai Alhassan followed the due process.

Ishaku who spoke to LEADERSHIP yesterday in Jalingo through his senior special adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Slyvanus Yakubu Giwa said Sen. Aisha’s inability to follow due process was responsible for not releasing the grains sent to the state to be distributed to the internally displaced persons (IDPs).

“Aisha’s visit to Taraba without communicating to the governor that she was coming to carry out federal government assignment was a breach of protocol and disregard to the office of the governor,” he said.

He further explained that items sent to the state by the federal government were intact, stressing that nobody has tempered with the items.

“Nobody has tempered with the items, our only problem with her is the way she neglected the office of the governor.

When Lai Muhammad visited Rivers, he went to Governor Wike, and what will now stop her from paying courtesy call on the governor. If she has decided to come back to respect the office of the governor, the grains will be released,” he informed.
