Chelsea Clinton Responds to Donald Trump’s Comments About Bill Clinton's Infidelity.

In an interview, Chelsea Clinton responded to Donald Trump’s comments about not talking about Bill Clinton’s infidelity during the presidential debate.

As we draw closer and closer to election day (only a little over a month to go now!), it seems like every day the campaign trail heats up. And after Monday night’s debate, which saw Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump facing off in person for the first time, the political rhetoric is flying more fast and furious than ever.

During the debate, Republican candidate Trump congratulated himself for staying away from attacks on Clinton’s private life, which many expected from the often outspoken former reality TV star. "I was going to say something extremely rough to Hillary, her family, and I said to myself, 'I can't do it. I just can't do it,'" he said. "It's inappropriate, it's not nice." Following the debate, Trump revealed to CNN that he was referring to former President Bill Clinton’s affairs — and that he had supposedly stayed away from the topic out of respect for Chelsea Clinton.

Chelsea’s not buying it, though. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the former (and possibly future) first daughter said, "Well, my reaction to that is just what my reaction has been kind of every time Trump has gone after my mom or my family, which is that it's a distraction from his inability to talk about what's actually at stake in this election.”

She also noted that, given how long her family has been in the spotlight, it’s likely nothing Trump could say would be anything new to her or her parents. "Candidly, I don't remember a time in my life when my parents and my family weren't being attacked," she said. "So it just sort of seems to be in that tradition, unfortunately."

With two more debates still to come, we'll see if Trump sticks to his strategy of being "nice." Whichever candidate you support, it's important to be ready to vote in November.
