A team of officials from the NNPC led by Engr. Usman Umar, yesterday 31st of August 2016, inspected the site where the ETHANOL project is set to be executed in the state.Read more.
Some of the areas inspected includes: Kambe, Mbagbaav in Agasha, Guma LGA, Tyondu a boundary between Guma and Tarka LGA's. Also inspected are Tse-Kur in Buruku LGA, as well as the Ambiir site which is between Buruku and Gboko LGA's.
The team also met with the Agasha community and briefed them of the purpose for their visit to the community.
Leader of the delegation, Engr. Usman Umar appreciated the community leader for their warm reception as well as their cooperation, and assured them of their willingness to abide by the terms as stipulated in the MOU signed by the various parties as regards the project.
Responding, the district Head of Kambe/Nongov, Chief Gideon Tiev, thanked the team for their visit and reaffirmed the community's readiness to offer support whenever needed. He regretted the change of date for the visit stressing that the community had earlier planned for an elaborate reception for the delegation if the initial date was maintained.
The inspection yesterday covers a landscape of thirty-one thousand hectares.
