Message to Governor Samuel Ortom, Benue youth are tired of menial jobs in the cities — Dzever

A concerned Benue youth and graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Master Terwase Dzever in a message to Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue State has advised the man of God to act fast else he would be left with trees and animals to govern saying Benue youth are tired of doing dehumanizing jobs in Abuja and other cities across the country.
The message which was sent to thejournaleaks.com reads,

“The hunger in the land is too much. Tell him that the poverty in Benue state is increasing geometrically.“Tell him to create an economy in Benue that is completely independent from federal allocations. Yes its possible. Lagos has done it, Benue can do it too if our leaders are determined to do it.“Tell him to create markets that will buy our farm produce at reasonable prices. I heard a basket of tomato goes for between #50 to #70 in Benue. That’s so bad. With this kind of a thing, could these people be encouraged to farm?“Tell him to establish industries that would buy and process our oranges, mangoes, tomatoes, pepper, yams and cassava and so on into finished products. This will go a long way in solving the unemployment issues in the state.“Tell our governor to establish plants that would mill our rice and sale. If he does this things, there would be no need for him to tell any one to go to the farm.“The masses will see the opportunities in farming and will grab it without persuasion.“Please tell him that the Benue youth are tired of doing dehumanizing , and other major cities in Nigeria.“Please tell him that we are tired of seeing our girls doing prostitution in Abuja and other cities in Nigeria.“We are not saying he created this conditions but we voted for him because we were and still confident that he will change our plight. May God help you to deliver the change you promised us.”
