Two wanted notorious armed robbers killed in Benue state (photos)

The Benue State joint security task force has shot and killed two suspected armed robbers said to be members of the gang of a wanted notorious gangster, Mr Terwase Akwaza, also known as Ghana in a joint operation earlier in the day.



Briefing newsmen at the state police headquarters in Makurdi, Police Commissioner, Mr Bashir Makama, said that Atondo Ibya and David Nyior. were shot dead while trying to escape arrest while three others; John Tsehe with two brothers, Sonter and Aondoaseer Swende, were arrested.

Late Ibya was said to be the ring leader of those who attacked and killed 10 people in Singa village in Katsina-Ala local government area few days ago. Various sets of Nigeria Army uniforms, a vest of charms, a car and several plate numbers, including foreign diplomatic ones, were recovered from the suspects
