Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and his wife Dolapo met with the rescued 21 Chibok girls in Aso Villa on Thursday, October 13, 2016.

Osinbajo met with the rescued Chibok girls on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari, who is currently away to Germany.See more.

After receiving the Chibok girls this evening at the Villa,Prof Osinbajo posted this emotional message on his social media page.

"Dawn, dusk, almost a 1000 days.
You wanted an education just like the millions around the world but at the altar of learning, you were abducted. Nigeria failed you.
Today, twenty-one of you beautiful young women are home.
Against hope, you are home.
It is my joy to welcome you home.
The nation has been waiting for you."

Over 200 Chibok girls were abducted by boko haram insurgents in 2014,however, 21,were released today.
