Dear Governor Ortom, Benue State House of Assembly Members and Tiv Traditional Council, look at these traditional rulers, you see them? Look very well.

We are looking forward to an urbane, stylish, intellectually sound, well travelled and financially stable Tor Tiv, some in the mould of Enitan Ogunwusi the Ooni of Ife, the Oba of Benin Crown Prince Ehenede Erediauwa and Sanusi Lamido Emir of Kano.
Personally, I grew up seeing Orchivirigh Dr Akperan Orshi Esq OON as Tor Tiv with all the pomp, pageantry and awe that the office required.
I always sat at a vantage point where I could see him enter NKST Gboko Central and even as a child I could tell, he exuded the aura of power and authority. In fact, the front row was reserved for him and his wife so he was quote conspicuous in his royal robes.
My wish and that of many Tiv is that we will get a Tor Tiv who will be at par with these men in terms of influence and authority.
This should be a new dawn in Tiv traditional history, we require amongst other things, someone who will not shy away from the traditions of our forefathers but carry them on proudly and make Tiv land the bride of the Benue Valley once more.
Who knows some of us may just apply to become Pendaityo sef! 😉 .
