Benue is ready to receive core investors for the take off of the ETHANOL Project -Ortom.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, today disclosed that the state was ready to receive the core investors preparatory for the take off of the Ethanol project in the state.
He made the disclosure in Abuja during a meeting with the top management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, led by the Group Executive Director, Ventures, Dr Babatunde Adeniran.
"We're very excited, we're ready and the communities are more than eager," he stated.
"I'm happy that the project which will generate multiple positive effects is not just in Benue, but the larger part is in Guma, my home local government area."
Governor Ortom stated that God had provided a ready platform for the project including fertile land and all year flowing rivers adding that its take off will will generate massive jobs, wealth and opportunities.
According to him the participation of the private sector in the project was the best way to go stressing that the duty of government should be policy formulation, regulation and monitoring as well as provision of security for private investment to thrive.
He reiterated his call for ranches as the best method of animal husbandry saying the coming on board of the Ethanol project underscored its importance.
Earlier the delegation had stressed that Benue was playing a pioneering role because apart from the natural conducive environment its government and people were willing and committed.
It said when functional the project could generate up to 1.3 million jobs apart from extension farmers and outgrowers.
