Nigerian military jets hit Boko Haram locations in Borno
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Tuesday said it had carried out attack on insurgents’ location in outskirts of Malkonori in Northern Borno.
The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Group Capt. Ayodele Famuyiwa, made the disclosure in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja.
Famuyiwa stated that the latest attack was a follow-up to the close air support operation that repelled the insurgents who attacked ground forces at Kangarwa.
He noted that “survivors among the insurgents had fled to Dogochuku, where they were also attacked by NAF fighter aircraft and forced to relocate to Malkonori.
“Ground forces confirmed that a number of the insurgents were killed and their vehicle destroyed, from the latest air strike at Malkonori.”
According to NAN, NAF fighter aircraft on Nov. 7 repelled an attack by the insurgents on ground troops at Kangarawa, Northern Borno.
