No Bomb Incident At Government House Makurdi -Terver Akase (CPS)

Press secretary to Gov Samuel Ortom Mr Terver Akase,has denied media reports that there was no bomb incident at Government House Makurdi on Monday.In his press release posted on Facebook,Akase disclosed that what happened was an an electric fault,which happened meters away from government house Makurdi.Read his release here.

NO BOMB INCIDENT AT BENUE PEOPLES HOUSE

We wish to inform the public that contrary to media reports, there was no bomb incident today at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi.

What happened was an electrical fault in a private car which resulted in the fire incident near the Benue Peoples House roundabout, many metres away from the main gate.

The fire was soon put out and the incident had no effect on the Governor's engagements as government activities went on without hitches.

We urge residents of Makurdi and its environs to go about their normal businesses as there is no cause for alarm.

The Samuel Ortom administration is committed to the security of lives and property and is constantly working with relevant agencies to ensure that the safety of the people is guaranteed.
