The 2016 Mrs Accolade Nigeria competition held last weekend and a beauty queen was crowned.
Winning the coveted title was Mrs Onyinye Obiora Okoye .

Onyinye Obiora-Okoye was born on the 1st of October 1988 in Maiduguri, Borno State Nigeria.

She is Married to Pastor David Obiora Okoye and they are blessed with three lovely children. She is an entrepreneur and astute business woman who believes that women need to be more productively involved in contributing to sustainable development.

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, an Advanced Diploma in Personnel Management, a Master's degree in History and is currently a PhD student in the Benue state university, Makurdi were she currently lives with her family and manages a number of outfits which include a School (ORENDA SCHOOLS INTERNATIONAL), a trading company, an NGO and a consulting firm under the brand name "ORENDA". She also owns a bridal shop called Olive bridals, a dry-cleaning outfit and she manages a very successful network marketing business (ORIFLAME).

She has taken very good advantage of the inherent opportunities that are prevalent in the "Food Basket" state were she lives to delve into farming and a couple of other agricultural businesses. She has influenced and impacted the lives of several Nigerians cutting across little children, teenagers, young adults and very old people.

In the past two decades she has won several accolades in pageantry such as
Miss Ikotu comprehensive college 2001.

Miss LAWSAN,2004, Benue State University.

1st R'up, Miss Benue 2006.

Queen Nassarawa 2008.

1st Runner up Queen Nigeria 2008.

1st R'up Nwa Ada Igbo 2012

The highly prestigious Oriflame Face of Nigeria 2015.

And now Mrs Accolade Nigeria 2016.

On what she plans to do as Mrs Accolade... She said

To the Glory of God, having the crown on my head is a calling to serve humanity, A calling to impact lives and to empower women. It is a platform to serve as a role model to married women and once married women encouraging them to see the best in themselves and to aspire for greater heights.

To this end, I, Onyinye Obiora Okoye MRS Accolade Nigeria 2016 flags off an entrepreneurial project tagged.
"GO WOMAN"

VISION: We envision a world where all women even in the most remote areas of the globe will hold the power to create opportunity for themselves, empowering themselves, their families and their society at large.

Our vision is nothing less than realizing the full potential of the woman in all ramifications.

MISSION: To inspire hope and contribute to empowering women mentally, emotionally and financially by carrying out various workshops/training sessions on skills acquisition and partnering with Individuals, corporate bodies and the government in funding them.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is Two phased but complimentary.

1. Workshops/Training sessions on the fundamentals of owning and managing a business adequately.

2. Skills acquisition (sewing, baking, soap making, catering, bead/hat making etc) Empowering them with the needed tools to begin.

GOAL: To train and empower not less than 2000 women cutting across various states in Nigeria by November 2017.
