PDP Crisis: I’ll Accept Appeal Court Judgement – Sheriff

Says PDP crisis saved Oyegun from impeachment
‎Factional Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff said he will not appeal against the judgement of the Court of Appeal on the party’s leadership crisis if it does not favour him.
Sheriff and Senator Ahmed Makarfi led factions of the PDP had filed separate appeals before the Abuja and Port Harcourt divisions of the Court of Appeal challenging the conflicting judgements of the Federal High Court in the two divisions over the leadership crisis.
The two judges that delivered the judgements – Justices Okon Abang and Mohammed Liman, were affected in the ‎recent transfer of Federal High Court judges.
Sheriff also said the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun would have been removed from office if not for the PDP crisis.
The PDP factional chairman spoke on Monday at the botched meeting he planned to hold with administrative staff of the party.
