Daily Trust Jos Bureau Chief, Joseph Hir, passes on at 43.

The Jos Bureau Chief of Daily Trust newspaper, Hir Joseph died this afternoon after a protracted illness.
The late Hir has been undergoing medical treatment at the Federal Medical Centre Makurdi, Benue State and was yesterday referred to the National Hospital Abuja but died on the way.

He joined Daily Trust on the 23rd of June 2003 and rose to become an Assistant Editor having worked with the publication in Abuja, Makurdi, Lafiya and Jos.
The late Hir resumed work as the Jos Bureau Chief on the 20th of July 2015 after he was transferred from Lafiya.
He is survived by his wife, three children and siblings.
