Female Youth Corper Impacts Akwa Ibom Community with Life-enhancing Projects. | See Photos




A female youth Corper, Ugbe Margaret serving in Akwa Ibom has put smiles on the faces of many, giving them hope as she embarked on several life-enhancing projects in the state through her personal community development service.
The projects include; Skill acquisition for 50 physically challenged people on over ten types of trade, drilling of borehole at a Uyo major market where they have lacked water for over ten years. Others are provision of 70 desk, plus writing materials for Joseph primary school Afaha Oku, Uyo and donation of trophy to the NYSC to support the sport festival.

For Margaret, her motivation is driven by the need to put smiles on the faces of her immediate community. “Also, I feel that if am privileged as a girl child to be educated, then I need to make a difference to encourage other people to send their girl child to school”, she added.

About how she funded the projects, Margaret said: “Funding was the most difficult aspect because every part of this project was funded by the good people of Akwa Ibom state. Although it wasn’t easy but with perseverance, patience and prayers, all did it for me. I also had the major challenge of getting people to believe in my dream”.

Ugbe Margaret is an indigene of Obudu local government area of Cross River State and she studied Business Education from Cross River University of Technology, Calabar. See more pictures!
