FASHION FAUX PAS :Benue Commissioner ‘rocks’ Canvas On Native.

Indigenes of Benue State were on Monday stunned after a picture of a serving commissioner ‘rocking’ a canvas on native cropped up on social media.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that commissioner, who was among the delegation that accompanied the state governor; Samuel Ortom to a trip overseas was seen in the picture wearing a multi-coloured flowing native on a white canvas crowned with the Ortom’s unity cap.
Reacting to the development, ace Benue-born social media enthusiast, Indigenous Prince Isaka described the commissioner’s dressing as ‘disgraceful.’

He wrote, “LIKE ORTOM LIKE APPOINTEES. Ortom what has Benue done to u and ur appointees? Why do u guys keep on disgracing Benue like this?
Haba, Honourable commissioner from Vandeikya, how can u wear wrapper on canvas?”

On his part, another Facebook user, Ngowase Gloria wrote,

“How won't they dress like this when the Fulani people are their best friends, but wait don't they see how their immediate neighbours dress?”
Another controversial journalist and writer, “Prince Yemi Itodo reacted thus,

“Unfortunately, these are the kinds of people that Ortom could project to the international community. I saw this pix on Sunday Akoji wall and it's so embarrassing. They said the guy that is second from left is the Benue State Commissioner for Education. No wonder Chinese people dey pose with am, dem go soon use the pictures dey do magazine for tourism in their land and paste a bill board in their zoo.”
