Exonerated Justice Ademola’s wife returns as Lagos HoS

The Lagos State Head of Service, HoS, Olabowale Ademola, yesterday resumed work, barely 21 days after an Abuja High Court dismissed charges against her and the husband, Justice Adeniyi Ademola.

Mrs Ademola stepped down from office as HoS last year, to allow her challenge allegations levelled against her, the husband and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Joe Agi.

Sources confirmed to Vanguard, yesterday, that Ademola sought Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s permission to return to work after she cleared her name from the charges levelled against her and others.

In order not to create any vacuum, Ambode appointed Folashade Adesoye, to act during her absence.

When Vanguard visited the Public Service Office, PSO, the premises was wearing a new look with the staff rejoicing over her return. But she will retire from service on November 10, this year when she would have clocked the mandatory 60 years of age.

Confirming her return, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde said that Mrs. Ademola resumed yesterday

Ayorinde said she took permission from the governor to step down so that she could prove her innocence, adding that since the court had acquitted her, there should be no reason why she should not come back to her duty post.
