Social Activist ,Barr Franc Utoo was arrested for insulting APC Chairman via Text Message- Alfred Berger. ( Read his full release)

According to the publicity secretary of APC in Benue State, Franc was arrested for insulting APC Chairman via text message.He stated this in a press release to the public yesterday shortly after Franc was detained at the force headquarters in Makurdi, please read it below.

In view of the news making round on cyberspace alleging  that Mr. Franc Utoo a lawyer cum social media activist was abducted in the early hours of today  by men acting under the directive of the state chairman,  All Progressives Congress, APC,  Benue state,  we wish to make it abundantly clear that he (Franc) was not abducted as insinuated in some quarters, but  was FORMALLY  ARRESTED  by men of the Nigerian Police force headquarters Makurdi following a formal complaint instituted against him by the state chairman, All Progressives Congress, APC,  Benue state Comrade Abba Yaro. 

Comrade Yaro's petition against Franc follow the  series of THREAT AND INSULTING  TEXT MESSAGES Mr. Utoo has been sending  to his (Yaro) inbox. 

Some of which read; 
"O'Boyle, you really possess raw criminal guts; that one fundamental attribute of notorious criminals. I heard you're threatening me wit a legal action. I welcome it wholeheartedly as it would provide a more fertile grounds for me to release a whole compendium of ur fraudulent activities over the years. I know you more than you can readily imagined.

Just wait for me.

"Ol'boy, so u have all the while been deluding yourself that u have a reputation to protect. The size of ur tummy obviously gives u a wrong impression of yourself. I'll so wash you to the extent that no one can price u for 1 Naira. 

I'm just ready for u. You are harmful to a decent society such as ours.

While we will not like to put the other details of some of his text messages here for security reasons,  we wish to state that his arrest by the Police was not in anyway connected to his social media activism as the fight is between him  and Abba Yaro. 

He has since been taken to the Command  headquarters Makurdi for interrogations. 

Members of the public are by this statement advise to disregard any rumor alleging that Mr. Franc arrest was sponsored by the APC led Government.
