Tributes,tears as Barr Sekav Erukaa is laid to rest in his hometown, Zaki Biam Benue State.PHOTOS



The remains of the late Barrister Justin Sekav Erukaa, younger brother to erudite journalist and news broadcaster, Charles Erukaa were laid to rest at their country home at Tse-Erukaa in Zaki-Biam of Ukum Local Government Area, Benue State.

The burial which was attended by people across all walks of life had in attendance, former Nigerian Senator, Minister and Ambassador to Ghana, Hon. Musiliu Obanikoro, for whom the late Justin worked with in various aspects. His friends from Abuja and Lagos as well as Charles' friends world over undertook long journies to pay the last respect to a brother and a friend. Relatives were in uncountable numbers. Politicians, members of the Nigeria Bar Association and admirers were all present.

The late Justin who was born in 1975 attended Robert Kennedy Memorial Primary School, Gboko and the prestigious Mt. St. Gabriel's Secondary School, Makurdi. For his tertiary education, the late Justin read law at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and proceeded to the Nigeria Law School, Abuja and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2001. From then onward, he practiced the law with diligence and enthusiasm. A thing that endeared him to Senator Musiliu Obanikoro who engaged him at different levels as legislative aide and personal assistant as a Senator, Minister and an Ambassador. This relationship, he kept to his end.

Justin died on the 25th of June in Abuja after he flew in from Lagos to attend to private businesses and the practice of the law, while on his way back from a friend's house suffered a ghastly motor accident.
