100 Black Men In Atlanta Turn The First Day Of School Into A Turn Up Session
Let’s talk about how the 100 Black Men in Atlanta turned the first day of school into one the kids will never forget. See it all unfold inside...
It’s that time of year again. The kiddies are gearing up to head back to school. We know you parents out there are rejoicing.
To kick off the first day of school in many Georgia schools, 100 Black Men of Atlanta (all dressed in suits) formed a tunnel of praise to welcome students of The B.E.S.T. (Business, Engineering, Science, and Technology) Academy. The boys were greeted with handshakes, high fives, positive affirmations, and encouraging words as they entered the school.
Every year, the men gather together to rally on the young men starting the new school year. One of the young men now wearing his "100" pin on the lapel of his blazer was emotional as he reflected back on the impact that this annual 'back to school' tradition has had on his life. Aww!
We often see young black men in a bad light in the media, so this is a breath of fresh air seeing our black men step up to the plate to encourage the youth. Strive high fellas!
