Rihanna Launches Bike Program For Girls in Malawi

Rihanna is continue her philanthropic endeavors and this time she’s helping girls in Malawi get to school.

In a partnership with bike-sharing organization ofo, Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation will fund scholarships for girls in Malawi through the foundation’s Global Scholarship Program, and donate bikes to students who need transportation to classes.


“I’m so happy about the Clara Lionel Foundation’s new partnership with ofo because it will help so many young people around the world receive a quality education, and also help the young girls of Malawi get to school safely, cutting down those very long walks they make to and from school all alone,” Rihanna explains in a press release.

The 5-year partnership is just one of many endeavors the singer has taken on in Malawi, and the Anti singer has also provided scholarships to to U.S. universities for students in China, Brazil, Barbados, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana and Jamaica.
