FLOOD FUNDS - Benue State spent N50Million not N50Billion-Akase

Chief Press Secretary to Benue State Governor ,Mr Terver Akase has debunked rumours in the media that Gov Ortom during his interview in Abuja stated that N50Billion was spent by the state on Flood.

The Media was awash on Sunday ,24th September 2017 with reports that N50Billion was spent on Flood in the state. READ HERE .The Governor's CPS  in a comment posted on facebook denied the figure and insisted that Gov Ortom never made such comments,he insisted that Gov Ortom said N50Million and not N50Billion was spent on flood  as quoted by some media houses and online blogs,he attributed the figure to an error from the Publishers.Read his comment her.

While answering a question put to him by one of the reporters at the interactive session last week in Abuja regarding the total of funds so far spent by Benue State to manage this year's flood, Governor Samuel Ortom said N50 million.
