I posted here sometime around September that a significant milestone was achieved for Air Charter Agreement for the route and economic development of Makurdi Airport Hub... The existing airport, which houses the NAF Airbase which has been used for flights,will be the Hub,until the PPP Cargo Airport is completed in 2019/2020.
Am happy to announce that the first plane have. arrived Makurdi Benue State.
The Gulf IV series charter plane made its first trip to NAF Airbase Makurdi with company staff and the brand ambassador,Jim Kyle for test run.

According to Mr Daniel Tarka one of the coordinators of Cargopolis, who spoke to www.fabmimi.com on the phone ,Benue State Government will take equity in N20b Gas Turbine Power Plant and Jet A1 Tank Farm for the Cargopolis Makurdi Airport Project.The MoU signing ceremony took place at Government House,Makurdi on 24th November.. Petrolex Group signed the B2B Partnership Agreement with CDC Group,the airport concessionaire.The Chief of staff to the governor,Hon Terwase Orbunbe and other top government officials were part of the MOU signing ceremony.

The CRJ -200 will carry 50 passengers, while the Gulf IV carries 14 passengers.. The HS-125 carries 8 passengers and can be used as Medical Evacuation.

15 December 2017 has been fixed for commencement of flight operations.

The Benue State government has also agreed to give subsidy to boost the routes: Abuja-Makurdi-PH-Lagos and Abuja- Makurdi- Abuja
The marketing department has yet to come up with fares for the proposed routes.See pictures....
