More People Will Leave Him - APC senator slam Buhari loyalists
President Muhammadu Buhari's loyal supporters have come under fire from All Progressives Congress (APC) senator Shehu Sani. Senator Sani, who represents Kaduna Central senatorial district in the upper house of legislature, tweeted on Sunday, November 26 that the president's loyalist are only supporting him because he is in power.
According to him, when the president is out of power, the supporters would desert him. He tweeted: Though from the same ruling party APC as the president, Senator Sani has been known to attack Buhari on matters on which he found him wanting.
Fabmimi recalls that the senator recently got into trouble for accusing President Buhari of being selective in his anti-corruption fight. He popular said on the floor of the Senate: "Corruption in the Judiciary and others is treated with insecticide while corruption in the government (executive) is treated with deodorant."
Senator Sani's very critical tweet comes just days after a coalition of Northern civil society groups announced plans to organise a one-million-man march in support of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The coalition had a meeting in Kaduna on Thursday, November 23 where it also declared support for the fight against corruption of the administration.
It also described the acting Chairman of the Economic and financial Crimes commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu as “one of the most fiery, fearless and most daring anti-corruption czar in Africa.”
