Nigerian governors, speakers hold emergency meeting in Abuja

Nigerian state governors and Speakers of State Houses of Assembly are currently holding an emergency meeting at the State House Conference Centre, (Old Banquet Hall), Abuja.
The meeting is being chaired by Chairman of the Forum and governor of Zamfara State, Abdulazeez Yari.

The meeting is coming on the heels of last week’s approval given to the Federal Government to take out the sum of $1 billion from the excess crude account for the fight against insurgency.
In attendance were: governors Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, Tanko Almakura of Nassarawa , Abubakar Bello of Niger, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom States and others.
