Many killed in renewed attacks by Fulani herdsmen in Benue communities (GRAPHIC IMAGES)

Guma & Logo LGs in Benue State came under heavy attack last night as Fulani herdsmen striked early hours on Tuesday leaving many injured and scores killed.

According to a Facebook user who posted pictures and confirmed the attack in his local government,James Gbudu , he narrated how the gunmen invaded Tse Igbudu community at the wee hours of Tuesday and started killing anybody in sight.
“As of now, no security personnel to help the situation.
“I managed to escape and reach where there is network to post this,” Gbudu said.
Similar attacks took place at Tse Iordye Akaahena ,Akor and other communities along Guma -Awe boundaries,Umenger along Daudu-Gbajimba road Tomatar in Saghev and in Logo Jootar Chembe Ukemberagya.
People were seen fleeing their communities for fear of further attacks.

Many casualties were  rushed taken to Benue State University Teaching Hospital and Federal Medical Center Makurdi where corpses are flooding the medical centers .

Many houses were burnt down by the herdsmen with over 15 CJTF members attacked and killed in Logo according to a report by Lasgidi online
The Benue State Governor Chief Samuel Ortom visited the hospital to commiserate with victims and communities affected by the attack.

Recall, Gov Samuel Ortom's  administration signed into the Anti Open Grazing law last year ,some herdsmen were arrested and charged to court for violating the law.
The herdsmen who speculated retaliation finally attacked some communities today.
