Okada riders in Gboko protest taxes imposed on them by BIRS.PHOTOS

On Wednesday  17-01 2018 some members of BEMOA Gboko branches took to the streets to register their grievances over taxes imposed on them by Benue state government.

Benue state government through BIRS implemented taxes on each okada rider in Benue to be paying  #50 each daily.

Eye witness reports that the protests which could've been peaceful turned bloody when the APC youth leader of Gboko with his team started attacking the Okada

Offices belonging to the two branches was also raised down.

Chairman of Gboko local government Mrs Beckie Orpin summoned a meeting with all the okada riders  in ordee to solve the problem.Traditional rulers also tried to intervene.
