THE PATHETIC STORY OF 3YEAR OLD MASTER AONDONGU WHO WAS BORN WITHOUT AN ANUS. THE JOURNEY SO FAR AND HIS NEED TO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE

Master Aondongu was born some three years to his parents Mr and Mrs Moses Asua.

He was born at the St. Theresa's hospital Makurdi. His sad condition was not discovered until after they have been discharged from the hospital. It was his mother, Mrs. Magdalene Asua, who first noticed it.

In the usual African manner Aondongu's mother was about using hot water on her new baby's buttocks when she discovered to her amazement that her little boy had no anus.
Imagine her shock and confusion!
She rushed the baby back to the hospital where the nurses upon seeing the child,  we're themselves were overawed by the discovery. Obviously maybe owing to the fact that it had escaped their notice.
She was asked to go back home after a needle had been used to inject the place supposed to be the boy's anus to brought out a fluid
After about three days, his stomach became swollen and baby Aondongu became quite restless due to his inability to pass out wastes.

He was taken by his parents to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital where he was given a drip and he started passing out stool from his nose.
Aondongu's parents were told by the doctors that the surgery to correct the condition would cost N60,000 at that time.
But the parents were advised that he was too tender to undergo such an operation.

The condition is described by medical experts as ATRESIA ANIS which is a congenital embryological anomaly in which the rectum fail to communicate with the premium. (this may be best understood by medical experts)
The condition according to experts is best managed at an early stage of life which in Aondongu's case, surgery is almost overdue.
Master Aondongu will be 3yrs old by Feb. 3rd 2018

Currently Master Aondongu has a perforated stomach to enable him pass out excreta. (see pictures attached)
This opening is permanently covered by his mother with a piece of clothe to avoid infection and it's taken away when ever the child shows since of discomfort to enable him pass out excreta. There are times he just goes ahead to soil the clothes and he has to be changed.
The mother's efforts to avoid infections have been the clothe she permanently puts in the area,  but We all know this can not go on successfully for long

Mrs. Helen Teghtegh called me some days ago to come see the child's condition.
I went there and met them living in a round Hut which also happens to be not so conducive for a child especially one in his condition.

Master Aondongu needs to undergo a surgery to correct this condition. Currently, there is no money for consultation with experts at the Federal Medical Center to know how much the whole process will cost.

At the moment, both the father and mother who are peasant  farmers have no bank account and so, my account details will be made available to the public for the time being, pending when one we will will be done with the boy's case.

This happens to be my first case for the year 2018.
I want to deeply appreciate every one who had stood by and with me to put smiles on faces and bring succour to helpless people out there through your various contributions.
