UKAN KURUGH DESERVES A CAR INITIATIVE. MEN AND WOMEN OF GOODWILL ENJOINED TO DONATE GENEROUSLY.

Having satisfied our consciences severally and jointly that, the young Benue humanitarian, Ukan Kurugh deserves a car to support his humanitarian drive that has seen him touch over 200 lives bedeviled with critical health and lamentable life circumstances, we his friends and on behalf of so many of you out there too have taken a step further to actualize this vision by bringing to public notice the intended fundraising to achieve this task and to also solicit public support to contribute meaningfully to this project. We started by several online and physical meetings to put together everyone's opinion about this project. We den made effort to see Ukan which took us some number of days as he was always attending to one humanitarian case or the other even to deep night hours. We then proceeded to secure a bank account with members of this team as signatories.

It is incontestible that, no individual in Benue State without an NGO and without government support has been able to touch lives more than Ukan Kurugh through the instrumentality of the social media. He is among the few Benue and of course Nigerian youths who have substantially proven beyond doubt that, the social media can be positively utilized to touch the lives of the less fortunate among our society. Ukan Kurugh no doubt and in our testimony is Benue's most celebrated social media humanitarian of all times.

Inspite his untiring commitment to touching lives meaningfully, Ukan Kurugh is known for traveling the length and breadth of Benue State and beyond by public transport and especially moving the streets of Makurdi on foot or always seen hopping bikes. One then wonders that, Ukan Kurugh has, generated millions to helping other lives and unfortunately can not even help himself. The answer to this question of rhetorics is not far fetched. Reason being that Ukan Kurugh has devoted every penny raised for the purpose it was meant to serve. This has earned him trust across Nigeria and beyond as he now enjoys donations on his humanitarian cases from foreigners too.

It is therefore our humble opinion that, his selfless commitment be encouraged with a vehicle, most importantly that can withstand rural roads and terrain, not necessarily as a means of comfort but as a need to fast track his humanitarian drive. This we considered a Toyota Hilux as fitting to serve. Ukan Kurugh has lamented often times his inability to convey his patients to where needed medication can be accessed. Sympathetically, this has led to the death of some of them. The likes of Shimasaan Ule, Jonathan Saakyar and Stella Meikyaa comes to mind. May their souls rest in peace, amen. This project when completed will spur Mr. Ukan Kurugh to greater services to Benue people and humanity at large.

Vox populi vox dei, the voice of the people they say, is the voice of God. We call on all those who are testimonies to the good works of this gentleman to lend a hand to this project. Our call extends to, the Benue State Government, corporate entities, humanitarian organizations and good spirited individuals to lend a hand.
