BREAKING: NASS joint committee in closed-door meeting over INEC budget

The National Assembly joint committee on INEC has begun the consideration of harmonised version of the 2019 election budget.

The lawmakers went into a closed-door session after the co-Chairman, Suleiman Nazif, said the opening prayers and asked members to introduce themselves.

After the introductions, a member of the committee moved a motion for the meeting to go into a closed-door session, the motion was seconded and passed. The chairman now asked reporters to leave the hall.
