[PHOTOS] President Buhari Slaughtering His Sallah Ram

President Buhari is currently at his hometown, Daura in Katsina State for the Sallah holiday and he was spotted slaughtering Sallah ram with his family.

President Buhari landed at Daura in a presidential helicopter marked NAF-541, along with the members of his family and some aides on Monday night. NAN reported that in the president’s entourage was his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu. Others were Alhaji Garba Darazo, his Special Assistant on Domestic Affairs and Malam Lawal Kazaure, the Chief Protocol Officer to the President.

The president was received by the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Farouk Umar, the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Wakili, and other dignitaries.

He joined thousands of Muslim faithful to observe the Eid el-Kabir prayer in Daura, Katsina State. He arrived the Eid Praying Ground in company of his aides and relatives at about 9am. He performed the annual sacrifice of slaughtering of the ram immediately after the prayer session. He trekked for over 800 metres from the prayer ground to his private residence amidst chanting of `Sai Baba’ by residents of Daura who came out in their numbers to cheer him
