2019 : Tarzoor throws weight behind Jime.

PDP gubernatorial candidate in the 2015 election Prince Terhemen Tarzoor has given his support to the candidate of the APC in Benue State,Hon Emmanuel Jime on his victory at the just concluded governorship primaries in Benue state.Iin a statement sent to Fabmimi Media  ,Dr Tarzoor who recently dumped the PDP for APC asserted that the emergence of Hon Jime is a clear manifestation of his focus,resilience,doggedness and determination to see that Benue is broth back on the path of sustainable development. 1. I warmly felicitate  with Rt. Hon. Barr. Emmanuel Jime, for emerging victorious at the just concluded All Progressive Congress (APC) primaries, to fly the party's flag during the 2019 gubernatorial elections. 

2. Your emergence yesterday is a clear manifestation of your focus, resilience, doggedness and determination to see that you put Benue back on the path of sustainable development. As the APC flag bearer, I see hope for a greater Benue because I strongly believe that we  share the same aspiration for our state. I'm glad that you now have the opportunity to pursue this shared mission and vision to its logical end when you are finally sworn in on the 29th  May, 2019. Your emergence has no doubt rekindled hope in Benue citizens that with you, governance will be about the people. Your track record as a successful legal practitioner, a former speaker, a two time member of the House of Representatives and presently the Managing Director of the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) has armed you with the requisite pedigree, knowledge,  and nuances of the challenges that we face in the state. The wild jubilation across the entire state that greeted your emergence attest to the confidence reposed in your candidature-ship by the Benue people.3. Let me state that Benue has never had it this bad. In the last three years plus, our citizens have been pauperized, dehumanized and forced to live in squalor due to an inept and vision-less leadership under Governor Samuel Ortom. Benue has continued to experience development reversal epitomised by the total collapse of basic utilities and infrastructure and blatant refusal to pay workers and pensioners their emoluments and wages, while security of the state has reached an all time low. The Benue people are sure that with you governance will not be through deceit and propaganda.The Benue people are hopeful that with you, there is hope for a better tomorrow - I am very optimistic that you will not only reverse this negative trend but you will change the narrative positively. 
4. I congratulate all the aspirants that contested with you - Rt. Hon. Barr. Benjamin Adanyi, Hon. Chief Titus Zam, Hon. Asema Achado, Hon. Akange Audu and Hon. Iordye - for their show of sportsmanship. Today, you have all written your names in the annals of the history of the state for your conduct at the primaries. You are all winners because you have all demonstrated that the contest to be governor is not a do-or-die affair. To me, you are the winners and members of the rank and file of our party are proud of you.
5. I specially congratulate the leadership of our party for remaining steadfast and focus and for working conscientiously towards ensuring that we have a hitch-free primaries in our party. I wish to particularly thank the leader of the APC in central Nigeria, Senator George Akume, Chief Steven Lawani, Chief John Ochoga and Senator Jack Gyado for their roles at presenting a united front ahead of the 2019 general elections.Long Live APCLong Live Benue state.
