PHOTOS : Human Rights Activist and ex member of the Presidential Committee on National Dialogue, Tony Uranta lies critically ill, needs prayers.

A former member of the Presidential Committee on National Dialogue . Mr. Tony Tamuni-Ipriye Uranta is critically ill and partially paralyzed from his right side body and needs our collective prayers.

The very vocal Human Rights Activist has been on the front burner for some years now, challenging governments successively over issues that has to do with human right and Niger Delta and known for being factual and never relenting on what he believed in.

Dr. Joe Odumakin of the Women Arise paid him a visit in the hospital and had these words to say.

“You're a staunch believer in the Nigeria Project! You've assiduously dedicated yourself to this cause. Our prayers for you as you recover is that it's going to be very soon. After this test, a testimony would come. I personally wish you a very speedy recovery, Comrade. 

Tony Uranta  responded thus... With patriots like Prof Wole Soyinka and my colleague Dr Joe Odumakin who are overseeing Nigeria's fortunes on behalf of the Nigerian masses, even though I'm temporary paralysed, I know Nigeria will get better.

Tony Uranta is currently the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian National Summit Group and married to broadcaster, Barong Tony-Uranta of Channels Television.
