Ortom beats other aspirants to emerge as PDP flagbearer in Benue State.

Governor Ortom emerges winner of the People's Democratic Party Governorship primary election held at Aper Aku stadium.

Meanwhile, a former Commissioner for Lands and Survey in Benue State, Hon. Surv John Tondu came second and Engr Felix Atume coming second and Dr. Paul Orhii emerging third winner. 

The break down of votes indicates as follows:

Governor Samuel Ortom-2210 votes. 

Hon. Surv. John Tondu- 475 votes. 

Engr. Felix Atume -44 votes. 

And Dr. Paul Orhii -10 votes.
