Ortom commiserates with Anenih, Aku families
BENUE State Governor, Samuel Ortom yesterday commiserated with families of former chairman, Board of Trustee of PDP and the first executive governor of the State, Aper Aku for the loss of the matriarch.
Ortom in condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, the Governor described Anenih as ‘a versatile administrator and patriot who was very passionate about the country. He says Chief Anenih’s selfless role as an elder statesman was felt in many aspects of the country’s development.
He said that the wise counsel of the former Chairman, Board of Trustees of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP will be dearly missed, especially now that the country is approaching another election year.
Governor Ortom prayed God to grant the Anenih family, the government and people of Edo State in particular, the fortitude to bear the loss.
In the same vein, the Governor commemorated with the family of the late Aper Aku.
He said that the passing of the former First Lady, Mrs Victoria Aku, at a private hospital in Makurdi was sad.
Ortom said that Mrs Aku was a dependable pillar of support to her husband, the late Governor Aper Aku, who bequeathed lasting legacies to the people of the state during his tenure.
Governor Ortom described the deceased as a humble and unassuming daughter of the State who cherished farming to the very end of her life.
He prayed that God would grant her loved ones, the entire family and the good people of the State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss as well as grant her soul peaceful eternal rest.
