Meet the brains behind Africa’s First $1 Smartphone
The team
BeepTool team is composed of members from various backgrounds including ICT, fintech, operations and administration with a combined experience of more than 20 years. The rallying point is the drive to develop solution (s) that will drive financial and communication inclusion in Africa, reduce poverty and provide a platform of maximum expression for the African life. The team working together has been able to successfully develop BeepTool platform, successful design and testing of the $1 smartphone, successfully carry out test financial transaction using nanosatellites, sign service agreement with Sky and Space Global among other things.
John Enoh: Founder-CEO/CTO
Proven Software and Integration Engineer with extensive experience architecting solutions for large enterprises. Expertise in cloud computing and networking concepts and Microservices architecture Design. John worked for Ericsson group for 10 years in Africa, Middle East, Europe, South America and North America. He founded BeepTool in 2014 with the vision to connect the unconnected Africans home and abroad to the digital economy. He has more than 14 years Telecoms/IT industry experience. He holds an MSc. In Software Systems Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. John is currently overseeing the world’s first $1 smartphone and Nano-satellites narrowband development and deployment to solve Africa digital problems.
Michael Ige: COO
Mike is a seasoned operations engineer. A senior engineer with Scientific Drilling Int’l. He has more than 10 years experience in operations coordination and management. He has been a key part of BeepTool since 2014 as business operations coordinator. He holds a BSc in Applied Physics.
Mayowa Ihinmikaiye: CM
Mayowa is a seasoned IT solutions expert with Banking experience. He Joined BeepTool fully 2018 to start operations in Nigeria. He has about 5 years of experience in financial services development and innovation management. He oversees all BeepTool’ s operation in Nigeria. He holds a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering.
