BRIEF HISTORY
The Oaken Special Events Fair and Oaken Resource Directory were conceptualized by Oaken Events Limited, producers of breathtaking and extraordinary special events such as weddings, product launches, birthdays, Corporate Parties etc.
At Oaken, we realized that Nigeria has been unconstructively publicised in the International media over the years. A major objective of Oaken Resource Directory and Oaken Special Events Fair is to portray Nigeria positively by bringing to light businesses, destinations and various information, that would correct and improve her image. This will effectively make her the preferred destination for tourism, leisure and business in Africa. We are also positioned to be one of the many tools that would bridge the communication gaps in the International Market by reinforcing Nigerias capability as a force to be reckoned with (World Power).
The Oaken Resource Directory which was launched early this year (January 26, 2010) provides easy-reference listing for over 1,000 local event suppliers such as Decorators, Florists, Event Planners, Venues, Caterers, Beverage providers, Audio/Visual services, Lighting, Photography, Entertainment etc. It also features tourist information, activities and niceties of and about our country.
OAKEN MANAGERS
Mrs. Ayiri Oladunmoye who currently serves as the Managing Director, founded the company. She has 10 years working experience in Human Resource, having worked in both the Nigerian banking industry where she received the CEOs Merits award for exceptional performance, and as a Human Resource Manager in an International organization.
