Couple on blind date find out they're brother and sister
By Juliet Mimi Atedze
A UK woman joined a website, and eventually got
herself a blind date. However, she found out the blind date was with her
long-lost brother.
Sarah Kemp, a
42-year-old cleaner, signed up with a website, and ended up on a date
with a man she never met. George Bentley, 47, swapped emails and photos
with Kemp, before going on their date.
The two went on their first date, at a pub, and that is when they
started to talk about their childhood. It was then that they found out
that they were brother and sister.
There was no kissing or any kind of touching because the news of them
being related dropped before any of that could take place.
Kemp is from Scotland, and Bentley is a builder based in London. The two
kept talking for several months, before finally deciding to meet.
Kemp said that she would have never agreed to go on a blind date in
London, but she and Bentley connected with one another right from the
start. Kemp said that it was two hours into the conversation that they
realized that they were brother and sister.
The two have not seen each other since 1975. Their parents ended up
splitting up, and Kemp moved with her mother to Edinburgh, while Bentley
went to live with his father in east London. When Kemp and Bentley got older, they both attempted to locate each other, but that ended up not being successful.
